Your privacy matters to me. This policy explains, in plain English, what personal information I collect, why, how I use and protect it, how I use AI, and the choices you have. I handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
This website and business are run by Expresso Your Essence Pty Ltd (ABN 14 678 258 243), trading as The Bonnie Wicks, based on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, Australia. In this policy, "I", "me" and "my" mean The Bonnie Wicks. You can reach me any time at hello@thebonniewicks.com.
Depending on how you interact with me, I may collect:
I collect personal information directly from you, when you enquire, book, buy, join my email list, fill in a form, or work with me. I also collect some information automatically through my website, email platform and analytics tools (like cookies and engagement data), and occasionally from third parties such as my booking or payment providers.
I use AI tools in my business, always with human oversight. Here's exactly how that touches your personal information.
Some AI and meeting tools I use are provided by overseas companies, which means some information may be processed or stored outside Australia (see section 6).
Some of my service providers, including AI tools, email and hosting platforms, meeting and transcription tools, and payment processors, are based overseas or store data on servers outside Australia. This means your personal information may be disclosed to, or processed in, countries including the United States and other countries where those providers operate. I take reasonable steps to use reputable providers that protect your information, but their handling is also governed by their own terms and the laws of their location.
I do not use fully automated systems to make decisions that could significantly affect your rights or interests. AI helps me with tasks like note-taking, drafting and analysis, but a human stays in the loop and I make the meaningful decisions. If a decision ever affects you and AI played a part, you can ask me to explain it or to have it reviewed by a human. (This reflects the automated decision-making transparency requirements coming into effect under the Privacy Act on 10 December 2026.)
I don't sell your personal information. I share it only where needed:
If you've joined my email list or opted in, I may send you emails about my content, offers and updates. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out any time by clicking it or emailing me. I'll action opt-outs promptly.
My website uses cookies and analytics tools to understand how people find and use the site, and to improve it. This includes Google Analytics (to see how visitors use the site) and, where I run ads, the Meta (Facebook) Pixel (to measure ad performance). These may collect data like your IP address, device information and browsing behaviour.
You can manage or disable cookies in your browser settings (some features may not work as well if you do), and you can opt out via your Google Analytics, Google Ads and Facebook ad settings. My site may also link to other websites, I'm not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.
I take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, using secure, reputable platforms and sensible access controls. No system is ever 100% secure, but I treat your information with care and only keep it for as long as I reasonably need it, or as the law requires.
You can ask me what personal information I hold about you, and ask me to correct it if it's wrong or out of date. Email hello@thebonniewicks.com and I'll respond within a reasonable time. There's normally no charge, and if I can't give access for a legal reason, I'll explain why.
I keep your personal information only for as long as I reasonably need it, to deliver services and to meet legal, accounting and tax obligations, and then take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it. You can also ask me to delete your personal information, and I'll do so where I'm legally able to.
If you're worried about how I've handled your personal information, please contact me first at hello@thebonniewicks.com so I can try to put it right. If you're not satisfied with my response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
My products and services are made for adults in business. I don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given me their information, please contact me and I'll remove it.
I may update this policy as my business, tools or the law change. The current version always lives here with its "last updated" date. If I make a significant change, I'll take reasonable steps to let you know.
Any questions about your privacy? Email hello@thebonniewicks.com and I'll help.
Big Love, Bonnie x
